Let’s face it… if you even remotely work with computers at your workplace, chances are you end up maintaining the machines of your coworkers part of the time. Something that is probably on your mind (if you’re a Windows user at least) is the April Fools Day Conficker worm that has been all over the news over the past few days.
Thankfully, the folks at Symantec have put together a great guide all about the pesky little worm, and even have a free removal tool available for download (make sure you’re downloading from an uninfected machine).
Be sure the machines around you are safe and sound, and sleep soundly knowing that you saved the rest of your staff from eminent disaster (or something like that).
